Samsung is reportedly working on a new Galaxy A-series smartphone with 5G support. The SM-A516V spotted on the Geekbench website is expected to be the Galaxy A51 5G smartphone's successor. Based on the rumors, Samsung might launch this new device as Galaxy A51s 5G.

Recently, the Galaxy A71s 5G also spotted online with the model number SM-A716V. According to the benchmark listing, the Galaxy A51s 5G will be coming with a Qualcomm chipset. We expect it to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G Mobile Platform.

Talking about the other specs of the Galaxy A51s 5G, the listing also confirms it to come with 6GB of RAM and Android 10 OS out of the box.

In terms of performance and power efficiency, the Galaxy A51s 5G with 7nm Snapdragon 765G should perform better than the Galaxy A51 5G powered by 8nm Exynos 880.

It even scored 622 on single-core and 1928 on multi-core tests. The Galaxy A51s 5G also received the Wi-Fi and NFC certifications confirming the dual-band Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity. Looking at the recently Samsung smartphones, the Galaxy A51s 5G might also carry the same design as its predecessor.

The complete specs of the Galaxy A51s 5G will be known only after the official launch. While we have already seen flagship 5G smartphones from all the top Android smartphone manufacturers, they are now working on mid-range 5G smartphones. LG has already launched the LG Velvet powered by Snapdragon 765G SoC.

Samsung could launch these new mid-range 5G smartphones very soon

Motorola also rumored to launch the Edge Lite 5G smartphone on July 7 in the US. As of now, there is no information about the launch date of the Galaxy A51s 5G.

Even the company announced the Galaxy A71 5G and Galaxy A51 5G only in April this year. Both the devices came with Super AMOLED Infinity-O display offering Full HD+ resolution.

Also, the devices are packed with a 4,500mAh battery. Interestingly, the 4G variants came with 25W fast charging support, whereas it is limited to just 15W on the 5G variants.

These devices will also come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. We should also see improvements in the quad camera setup on the rear.

Just like the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 lineup, these new mid-range 5G smartphones could also come with One UI 2.5 out of the box.

Apart from the new Galaxy A-series smartphones, the company is also working on a few budget smartphones under the Galaxy M series. The Galaxy M51 and Galaxy M31s are rumored to be launched in the next few weeks.
