In short: The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, that was announced last month, is finally available and is shipping from AT&T. It was known that AT&T would be selling the Galaxy Tab S4, but we were unsure of when it would actually become available. It is now available for $749, full retail price. Customers can also opt to pick one up on AT&T NEXT and pay $37.50 per month for 20 months. This is about $100 more than the WiFi-only model (that’s the standard uptick in price for a WiFi tablet versus an LTE-compatible tablet).
Background: Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S4 is the company’s newest high-end tablet. It sports a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD display, along with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There are also quad speakers on the Galaxy Tab S4, which have been tuned by AKG, but are also Dolby Atmos compatible. What this essentially means is that you’re getting a multimedia powerhouse out of this tablet. This is going to be great for watching movies, TV shows and even just some YouTube videos. But it will also work well for getting some work done. Since the S Pen is included, and the keyboard (which is not included) works well for typing up papers, emails and much more.
Impact: Now users that have been wanting a 4G LTE version of the Galaxy Tab S4, have yet another choice of where to pick one up. Verizon and Sprint are already selling the Galaxy Tab S4, for the same price, and now AT&T customers can jump in on the action. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 comes in two colors: Gray and Black. The Gray color actually has more of a white backside, so its more of a very light gray. The back is also glass, so you’re going to want to grab a case for this tablet.
